I met up with Jo Lynne tonight to browse IKEA for some furniture for the kids' playroom. We decided to grab dinner at Cracker Barrel and then head home. We noticed that the wind was 
really blowing outside so we knew a storm was coming. Once the wind died down, we figured we were safe to head home. Boy were we wrong. Once we were on the freeway, the rain came down in buckets. It continued to get worse once we were on the highway. At one point, I had to pull off to the shoulder because I couldn't see the road anymore. This is a road that I travel on every single day, so I am familiar with it. Jo called me and said it was better the further you went. I decided to get back on the road. I don't think I have ever been this scared. I was so close to the windshield that I was fogging it up. I know my knuckles had to be white. The lightning did not stop. I haven't ever seen a storm like this. I was shaking when I walked in the door. I am glad to be safe at home. I don't think I will ever drive in a storm like that ever again.
